Summer at Peppertree is all about slowing down,
getting hands-on, and letting kids be kids —
the Montessori way.
Summer is also a gentle way for children to get comfortable before Fall.
From June 17 through August 7,
we're offering four themed two-week sessions packed with exploration, creativity, and real-world learning. Each theme is thoughtfully designed to engage toddlers through elementary-age children at their own level, across all our classrooms.
Summer Montessori Experience
Minimum Enrollment: Two Consecutive Summer Sessions (30 Days)
Why 30 Days? Montessori is a unique educational approach, and children often need time to fully experience its benefits. During a 30-day enrollment, your child will have the opportunity to:

Become comfortable with their teachers and classroom community

Learn classroom routines and expectations

Develop independence and confidence

Explore hands-on Montessori materials in language, math, science, and practical life

Build concentration, problem-solving skills, and self-motivation

Participate in outdoor learning, social development, and enrichment activities
Unlike a traditional summer camp, Montessori learning builds over time. We have found that a 30-day experience gives children the opportunity to settle into the classroom, engage meaningfully with the Montessori environment, and allows parents to see whether Montessori is the right fit for their family. Many families discover that after 30 days, their child is just beginning to flourish in the Montessori environment.

Summer Themes
Cooking
Children get real hands-on kitchen experience — spreading, slicing, chopping, and mixing real foods. Along the way, they'll explore where food comes from and why nutrition matters. A favorite every year.
Oceans
Coral reefs, marine life, ocean ecosystems — your little marine biologist will love exploring the wonders of the deep. Hands-on Montessori activities bring the ocean right into the classroom.
Dinosaurs
From the Triassic to the Cretaceous, kids dive deep into the world of dinosaurs — herbivores, carnivores, fossils, and more. Whether your child is already a dino expert or just getting started, this one never gets old.
Construction & Camping
From construction vehicles and tools to campfires and the great outdoors, this session is full of active, imaginative discovery. Expect lots of outdoor time and big-kid energy.
Water Play Days
🌊 Every week we cool off with outdoor water play — sprinklers and water table activities on alternating Wednesdays and Thursdays. The schedule is posted on Transparent Classroom and on each classroom window.
What to bring on Water Play days: Swimsuit worn under clothes; Labeled beach towel
Dry change of clothes + wet bag; Water shoes (plus closed-toe shoes for after)
Sunscreen applied before drop-off

Flexible Summer Enrollment
We understand that every family's summer schedule is different. We require a minimum 30-day enrollment (two consecutive summer sessions) to fully experience the benefits of Montessori, enrollment dates are flexible.
Families may:

Begin at the start of any summer session

Enroll for two or more consecutive sessions

Choose additional sessions based on their summer childcare needs

Or join throughout the summer (mid-session) as space permits
Whether you're looking for an opportunity to explore Montessori before the fall school year, for a meaningful summer learning experience, or quality childcare during school break, we'll work with you to find an enrollment schedule that fits your family's needs.
Many families also use our summer program as a gentle introduction before enrolling for the school year.
